Who we are looking for

An opportunity has arisen for a London based Finance Associate working for internal finance providing decision support and solutions on technical and commercial financial issues. The role will be supporting a business in the FS and Deals Tax team based in More London, within the Tax practice. They will report to the Finance Manager/Leader and work in a team of 300 people. The role will be for 6 months as maternity leave cover.

About the role

As a Finance Associate the individual should have a basic understanding of business, technical, analytical and possess commercial skills and be able to apply their knowledge to provide support to the Finance Manager/Leader and client facing teams. The individual should be enthusiastic to learn, able to prioritise, confident to communicate in both verbal and written forms and be a strong relationship builder

The Finance Associate will play a key role in supporting the Finance Manager/Leader in the following areas:

  • Performance management

  • Performance improvement

  • Financial control and compliance

  • Building relationships and sharing knowledge

  • Providing data input into forecasting and budgeting

  • Ability to prioritise workload, ask questions and promote financial best practice

  • Action orientated and enthusiastic to take on new tasks

  • Focused on continuous improvement and learning in all areas of their work

  • A strong relationship builder who builds trust in their key stakeholders

  • Good written and verbal communication skills

  • Takes responsibility for their own personal development

  • Basic to intermediate excel
