Bids, Pursuits & Proposals Manager -Tax
We are looking for a hungry, driven and engaging Proposal Manager who is passionate about helping our internal clients navigate the pursuit cycle. Supporting the Tax Line of Service this role will be part of the Tax Winning Work team and wider Pursuit & Proposals capability, an established and national team of over 40 professionals.
You’ll have excellent coaching and technical proposals skills combined with an ability to think commercially and strategically. You’ll need to be confident to provide your views and challenge teams in a constructive manner while building a strong network of relationships across the Tax practice.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Tax Sales & Marketing Team as well as Lead Partners and practice teams within Tax. In this role, the Proposal Manager will:
Provide end-to-end support throughout a proposal life cycle, including marshalling bid qualification conversations, providing proposal advice and presentation coaching.
Work with stakeholders across the Tax Line of Service to drive proposal best practice across all opportunities in addition to other means such as training.
Make recommendations on client centric propositions and ensure each proposal has a clear focus on differentiation.
Facilitate kick off, storyboarding and win themes sessions to provide independent review and challenge of strategy, proposals and other related materials.
Be prepared to mediate and drive discussions around risk management and commercial considerations.
Review proposals and other materials and provide constructive feedback on these.
Carry out internal pitch team de-briefs and conduct feedback sessions with clients.
Bring the best of PwC by connecting teams with relevant people and departments such as Design.
Work closely with Marketing, Account Managers and Business Development to form a seamless value chain for our clients.
Play an active role in the Tax Winning Work team as a Sales professional who is an expert at delivering and championing the firm’s Pursuit approaches and methodologies.
Be an active member of the Pursuits & Proposals capability and the wider Sales & Marketing function.
Proven track record in a similar Proposals role, with an expert understanding of sales best practice and a client focused outlook.
Experienced, self-motivated individual with a proven track record in delivering proposals support on high value opportunities.
Evidence of influencing and communication skills and the capability to challenge and manage senior stakeholders.
Ability to provide strategic direction and apply wider insights and lessons learned to Proposals.
Self-starter able to work effectively as part of a team.
Creative and innovative approach.
Proactive with a positive ‘can do’ approach.
Emotional intelligence and an ability to flex style to the situation.
Experience of working in the professional services or technology space would be beneficial.
