About the team

Tax Inbound & FTSE 100 (IF100) provides specialist tax advice to top tier Plcs and inbound multinationals. Our Clients include many household names and are from all industry sectors (except Financial Services). Our services include UK and international corporation tax advice and structuring, transfer pricing, tax accounting advice, audit of tax work and VAT consulting amongst other areas. We are looking for a Senior Associate to join the team to work primarily in our tax accounting advisory space. This is a high priority area for the team and the Firm where we see significant opportunity for growth.

You will be working primarily for the Senior Manager driving this area of the business in IF100 and Nationally, but will also have interaction with client facing and other teams across the Firm up to Partner level, particularly in CMAS, Assurance etc. We anticipate that you will spend c. 85% of your time on tax accounting advisory work, but you should also have some opportunity to gain experience in other relevant areas between projects to maintain the requisite underlying skills and knowledge. Some knowledge of tax and proficiency in excel is also desirable, however this is not essential if there is a willingness to learn these. This is an ideal role for someone looking to move into tax from an audit or accounting background or someone who has started their career in a regional tax team and is looking to move into London.

The work is technically demanding and challenging and offers opportunities to work on major high profile corporate transactions and deals. It also creates an opportunity to build new relationships and contacts and to leverage those to help drive and develop a fast-growing part of the tax business. There will be opportunity to work on National initiatives and also for development and promotion if the right skills can be demonstrated.
