About the role

This is an exciting time for Resource Management as we build on the professionalism of our people and work closely with the business to develop and implement PwC business and people strategy. PwC's Resource Management (oneRM) team is a centralised function which assist the firm in being more agile and providing the right people on the right projects at the right time.
The role would be based in Belfast, Northern Ireland and provide resource management support to the PwC Augment and Operate business areas. PwC Augment and Operate work closely together to support all lines of service by providing contingency workforce solutions across the UK as well as providing managed service solutions to clients primarily based in Belfast but also directly on client site across the UK.

The key responsibilities of this role:
  • Optimise headcount through managing/overseeing joiners, leavers and secondments, increasing utilisation and being aware of the impact on employee engagement

  • Delivering the manpower and resourcing plan by having a deep understanding of growth plans and headcount required to support these; balancing these with the needs of the individual

  • Deploy individuals onto assignments ensuring that there is a balance between business needs and the needs of our employees

  • Conducting regular portfolio reviews to ensure maximum utilisation, development and fair allocation of work for each individual

  • Interpret and analyse Management Information (MI) to provide trends, make connections and help drive the business growth plans by feeding insight into the recruitment strategy.

  • Share knowledge, best practice and network with your colleagues across the business and Resource Management Function

  • Engage and promote the use of key resourcing systems including TalentLink and Staffing & Deployment

  • Use technical knowledge to help ensure the overall resourcing process is as efficient as possible whilst delivering to the needs of our partners and employees.

  • Understand the firm-wide strategy, business and resource management strategy and know how to apply it to the Resourcing objectives and vision for the business unit/line of service

Essential skills and experience

The essential skills and experience of a successful candidate would include;

  • Deployment and Manpower Planning

  • Ability to seek deployment opportunities by fostering relationships with key stakeholders in the business, Resource Management and other operational areas

  • Managing people and their development

  • Project management and organisation skills

  • Relationship Skills including communicating and Influencing with the ability to resolve conflict when needed

  • Communicate with impact using different communication styles

  • Influencing and creating a vision for change by championing the delivery of change

  • Stakeholder Management

  • Delivering outcomes that build relationships by taking into account the different needs of multiple stakeholders; balancing the needs of individuals and those of the business

  • Developing and driving solutions to improve profitability of clients

  • Using data and Management Information networking internally and externally to advise on resourcing options and solutions that help to drive growth and profitability

  • Developing yourself by seeking opportunities that stretch and challenge

Desirable skills and experience would include;

  • Use of workforce planning systems

  • Embedding resourcing models into new business areas / teams

  • Working with contingency workforce teams and/or managed service providers.
