About the team

PwC's Resource Management (oneRM) team is a centralised function which assists the firm in being more agile and providing the right people on the right projects at the right time. It is an exciting time for our Resource Management team as we build on the professionalism of our people and work closely with the business to develop and implement PwC business and people strategy.

About the role

We are looking for a Resource planner who will support our growing PwC Operate and PwC Augment businesses. Both areas are experiencing significant growth and require a strong candidate who will enhance the existing Resourcing team. The role will be based in Belfast and will provide workforce planning and scheduling assistance to both Operate and Augment.

In a fast paced, dynamic environment, this role will provide you with opportunity to finesse your organisation and coordination skills. You will be given the opportunity to grow and develop within your role through on the job learning, in addition to specific training.

The key responsibilities of this role:

  • Making sure the needs of our clients and colleagues are met by assisting with staff planning, ensuring that the correct team members, with the right skills and experience and assigned to the projects.

  • Produce and continually improve Management Information (MI) to provide insight and trends to Resource Managers and senior stakeholders, helping to drive business growth. .

  • Manage holiday requests from staff with regard to PwC’s holiday policy and local BU policy ensuring staff are able to use their holiday entitlement throughout the year in line with seasonal trends of client work.

  • Continually monitoring the completion and accuracy of team CVs and profiles.

  • Supporting with the deployment of colleagues to ensure they transition smoothly from one client engagement to another

  • Escalation of challenging issues to the Resourcing Managers

  • Share knowledge, best practice and network with your colleagues across the business and Resource Management Function

  • Understand the firm-wide strategy, business and resource management strategy and know how to apply it to the Resourcing objectives and vision for the business unit/line of service

Essential skills and experience
  • Ability to work independently and across multiple workstreams

  • Planning and/or Scheduling skills

  • Data analysis with high attention to detail

  • Actively manage expectations and escalate where necessary

  • Understanding of business unit needs and priorities for resourcing.

  • Actively seek and identify opportunities for development

  • Draw on resources across the business unit and resource management as appropriate

  • Time management and organisational skills

Desirable skills and experience would include;

  • Use of work force planning systems

  • Working with contingency workforce teams and/or managed service providers.
