About the team
The Pursuit and Proposals team are sales specialists working across the UK, who support client teams from first engagement, through the proposal and pitch process, to closing the deal. As a pursuit and proposals manager your focus will be on ensuring that the right strategy is put in place for the opportunity and helping teams execute the pursuit in the most efficient and effective way.

The ideal candidate will have the confidence to advise and challenge thinking at all levels of seniority, whilst being able to build relationships with multiple stakeholders. What you’ll be doing
No two days and no two pursuits are the same and there’s a lot of variety. You’ll be supporting the firm’s highest value and most strategically important Government and Public Service pursuits. A significant part of the role will be coaching teams through Government and Public Services proposals and frameworks by helping them prepare for and respond to opportunities via regulated procurement channels.
You will support and advice all stages of the Pursuit. You will be expected to collaborate with other members of the Government and Public Services team to monitor the pipeline and to identify the most appropriate package of support for each pursuit. Relationships are key and managing and building on them across a large stakeholder group is vital.
Providing end-to-end support throughout a proposal life cycle, including proposal management and advice, presentation coaching and obtaining client feedback
Working with stakeholders across government and public sector to align support to priority areas and drive proposal best practice, whether that’s through training, reporting on key trends or other means.
Helping to draft proposal documents and collateral, including cover letters, executive summaries, team and CV information, and firm experience
Sharing ideas, innovation and working creatively to help us differentiate
Reviewing and amending proposal document and collateral
Working alongside proposal drivers to help shape the pursuit plan and provide insight into best practice
Responding promptly to proposals content queries and building networks of SMEs across the firm
Delivering tailored training modules and work closely with stakeholders to understand where training may be required.
Conducting client feedback and post decision reviews
Supporting the Leader of Industry by generating reports and insight to inform the wider Government and Public Services strategy.
Contribution to the continuous improvement of our bid processes and techniques for Government proposals
You’ll have excellent project management and coaching skills, coupled with an ability to think commercially and see the bigger picture. You’ll challenge and support teams in a constructive manner to improve our chances of success. You’ll need patience, flexibility and sensitivity to deal with unexpected changes or challenges. You’ll be able to manage multiple tasks and a broad range of stakeholders, often operating virtually.
Experienced, self-motivated individual of graduate calibre with a proven track record in delivering proposal management and bid advice for high value proposals.
Experience and track record of delivering proposals to government and public sector organisations
Experience of proposal coaching, advising and proposals support with the ability to implement both strategic and tactical initiatives.
Self starter able to work effectively as part of a team.
Excellent project management skills.
Experience of managing diverse senior stakeholder groups.
Proactive with a positive ‘can do’ attitude.
Emotional intelligence and an ability to flex approach to the situation.
